Week 4, #8

This has been very interesting. It is surprising how many web sites have RSS feeds available. I can see why a resource like Bloglines will be useful and efficient. I am anxious to see how this works over time. I have added several feeds and I may decide that it is still too much to keep up with.

School is over at the end of today and I will switch into my summer mode. I don't know yet if I will have more or less time but it will be different than my school routine.

Week 3, #7, post 2

I have made a badge but can't figure out how to save or upload it so that I can put it on my blog.
I am going to keep searching for the answer but would love it if there is a simple solution that I have missed and someone could just tell me.
Technology is creative and fun but often frustrating. Especially when a user knows something can be done but can't figure out how.

Week 3, #7

Whoa! Flickr is really cool! And all the applications are mind boggling. I enjoyed playing with badges and trading cards. I want to get one posted to my blog. There is so much to learn. I am using terms my college kids don't know -- that makes me feel like I am "in the know" but I realize there is much I really DON'T know.
At least, this is one way to learn some things and it is fun. A good way to get some PD on my own schedule during the summer.

Week 2, #3 part 2

Wow! I can hardly believe I have created an avatar AND posted it to my blog! It was trying, to be sure but I finally got it. Had trouble logging on, or at least, I thought I did.
Now I need to go back to the 23 things and see what else I need to work on.
Man, this is tough!

Week 2, #3

This is going to be a stretch for me and I think I need it. I have a couple of wikis and plan to use wikis with some classes next year. Otherwise, I am not really comfortable with some of web 2.0 formats. I am learning and know quite a bit about them but haven't used or produced many myself. This is my challenge for the summer.
I have to get used to a shared electronic journal for one thing.
